Net estate calculator

Instead of a single “total assets” figure, add cash, bank, land, gold, business, vehicles, shares and receivables one by one . For jointly owned assets, enter the deceased's ownership percentage, then find the distributable net estate (tarika).

ⓘ Read before you calculate
This tool calculates the Net Estate (tarika) from an Estate Inventory . It does not determine heirs' faraid shares. Not the full value of a joint asset — only the deceased's actual ownership share is counted in the estate.

1. Estate Inventory — add the assets

Enter each asset on a separate row. In “Total value”, enter the asset's full market/accountable value. In “Ownership %”, enter the deceased's share—e.g. 50 if they owned half of a joint asset.

2. Reasonable funeral (burial) costs

Do not add extravagant or later personal ceremonies/expenses here.

3. Debts, dower (mahr) and other verified liabilities

Entering each liability on a separate row makes it easier to check later. Do not enter the same debt or liability twice.

4. Valid/verified bequest Optional

Enter only a bequest amount that has been verified as valid. If you are unsure whether the beneficiary is an heir, or whether the other heirs' consent is needed, leave it at 0 and use the separate bequest (wasiyyah) calculator.

What this result means: This is an arithmetic estate calculation, ownership percentage, funeral, liability and bequest figures you entered — a mathematical estate planning calculation.
Needs checking: Whether an asset was truly owned by the deceased, whether a liability is payable from the estate, and whether a bequest is valid must each be verified separately against documents and the applicable fiqh and law.
