Ushr & livestock zakat
Ushr on crops and zakat on cattle, buffalo, goats and sheep — according to Hanafi fiqh. For zakat on cash, gold, silver and business, use the Zakat .
Maund, kg or any unit — the ushr will be shown in the same unit.
If given, the ushr's equivalent value in Taka is also shown.
According to Imam Abu Hanifa (rah.), ushr has no minimum quantity (nisab) and cultivation costs are not deducted; according to the Sahibayn, there is no ushr on a harvest below 5 wasq (about 653 kg). Ushr becomes due at harvest — the one-year condition does not apply. Check with a scholar for your type of land.
